Friday fotos – the route de vins in Alsace

Hi Frugalistas!

Alsace is a particularly picturesque part of France, and the route de vins just north of Colmar is a particularly picturesque part of Alsace.  Visiting the pretty villages of the route is like visiting a fairytale, and is like nothing else in France.  On my recent trip to France I stayed in Colmar as a guest of the Hotel Rapp.  Visiting the route de vins is tricky by public transport – if you want to do it independently you really need a car, so I partnered with Regioscope and saw the Route de Vins in style!

Jo, thanks for sharing your photos from Alsace. The area looks like a lovely location to visit and I will definitely need to include it on my travel to do list for the future!

It’s very pretty, Anne. With the fairytale villages and lovely cakes, plus all the vineyards, it’s a good location for a family to visit.
